OUR PROGRAMS
Microfinance
For more than 36 years this is the sole financial program of TPKI that has been proven satisfactorily in terms of financial sustainability and operational efficiency, outreach increases every year. And we are among the top 20 microfinance institution from the level where we belong. However, the question of “Are We Really Making a Difference” still is the top issue. We are now in the era where microfinance program and microfinance institution is in every corner that results in people indebtedness, multiple loans, internal and external problems.
But the journey must continue, exploring new dynamics, systems and methodology to be able to upgrade the service we offer our people. It is suggested that upgrading TPKI financial to E-Banking system, will consider Globe G-Cash and other existing entity catering to the said program, the idea of “Pera Padala” project will eventually be included in the project, since the primary objective is to provide efficient and reliable service to partners.
In reaching out and helping the poor, we give the following services.
Alternative Livelihood Opportunities for the Entrepreneurs (ALOE) – TPKI manages to reach out the struggling poor (21 to 70 years old) in Pampanga, Tarlac, Bulacan Bataan, Pangasinan, and Nueva Ecija . ALOE stands for Alternative Livelihood Opportunities for the Entrepreneurs; in Tagalog it means Bagong Pagkakataong Pangkabuhayan para sa mga Mangangalakal. A project for the development of the community is a mechanism and movement geared towards poverty alleviation. It is hinged on the mission of TPKI that is, “to offer the struggling poor people we are serving with products and services” (better income, food, enhance education and health care) and, “whereby they can experience the love of Christ and have fullness of life”.
Sustainable Enterprise and Entrepreneurial Development (SEED PROGRAM)– This program is intended for individual loan program, clients can avail higher loan compare to ALOE program, and the businesses of its clients are bigger than ALOE members. It aims to increase the income level of the project beneficiaries, create or generate employment opportunities for the unemployed and strengthen job security of the under employed.
Salary Loan Program – This program is for regular employees of a company, they have alternative financial source and has the opportunity to avail loan for any purpose. The particular company will sign memorandum of agreement to allow TPKI to release loan for their employees. This program aims to addresses the immediate and often multi-faceted needs of the inadequately employed individuals and provide alternative financing source to the inadequately employed workers to cut their dependence on usurers who charges very high interest rates which often cats up their supposed to be income from their employment.
Micro Savings
Capital Build-Up (CBU) – Objectives and strategies of Capital Build Up (CBU) is to build up a savings practice among center members and to generate a capital fund for individual group members through their thrift & mandatory CBU, by which they could run their livelihood activities on their own without the help of MFIs. At the same time center members’ capital build up can be used as a revolving loan fund which could be helpful for self-reliance.
Micro Insurance
